Laundry

You put your dirty clothes into the wicker baskets in your room and they reappear a day or two later clean, pressed and folded on the shelf next to the door.

If you make a habit of running through particularly muddy cross-country routes or taking part in messy activites, and you want your stuff back both quickly and without a snarky note berating you then sometimes it’s a good idea to occasionally include a little gift in the basket as a thank you.

Occasionally you might catch glimpse from a window of a back courtyard you’ve never been to in which someone is hanging out things to dry on many washing lines that seem to blow gently in a breeze that is independent of the weather.

Although as is the way with all laundry system, you inevitably end up losing one of a pair of socks.
